If you could go on vacation for the next month...
I would spend my time in Europe, visiting all the places my friends are from. I would visit Ireland, the land I consider “home”, England, where many of my friends are from; France, where one side of my family originated from; and Austria, where the other side of my family came from. :)

What's the longest you've ever gone without a bath...
I don’t keep track of time between bathings. I know there was a time when I lived basically out of my car, when I was younger, and my bathing consisted of sneaking into a gas station bathroom and washing in the sink.

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when...
I wanted to be a doctor, a lawyer, a teacher, an artist, a writer, a child care provider (yes, Mama, I actually did think of doing it for a while), and a few others. So far, I’m still trying to figure out which one to pin myself down to. :)

Have you ever been fired? If so, why?
I was fired from one job, when I worked for a call center out in California. I had been very ill, and took too much time off work because of it. I was in training at the time, though I was being cross-trained for a different department. Even so, I missed time during training, and the employee handbook stated that it was grounds for termination. *shrug* C’est la vie.

Do you believe in ghosts?
I believe in a spirit world that overlays our own, but I don’t necessarily believe that ghosts are the spirits of the dead person we think they are.

Would you rather get up early or sleep late?
I love sleeping in late, but it always throws off my day. Getting up early makes my time alone during the day, while my husband is at work, seem longer, but it also means I have more of the day to do what I want.

Who's the best teacher you ever had? What made...
My science teacher in 7th grade, Mr. Engels. He had long hair, wore glasses, and once washed a kid’s mouth out with soap for cursing in his class. He was the coolest teacher I ever had, challenging me to think for myself in every task we were given. He was full of enthusiasm, and always ready with an answer, though he preferred that we find the answers we sought on our own.
